Hello Mr. Moon

Hello Mr. Moon...It was 6:45AM and here is the moon. This was made on Sunday morning. I told Shane I wanted to make a picture of the moon, and he obliged me. He is a pretty incrediable husband. I ask him to do strange things sometimes, like this photo for instance. I said just open the sliding door on the side of the Montana and make it...and here it is. I was amazed at the photos that the Columbia took while they were orbiting the earth. Would I go to the moon you might ask? No, probably not. I don't like to be that far away, but I am surely interested in what God has made for us to explore. And I want to intake all that my brain will hold....thanks God!!

"SON" SHINE

Here is another photo of the sun shining thru the clouds. Isn't God amazing? Amen

Thru the clouds, seeing the "Son"

Posted by Picasa

This past Saturday, I was in Winston-Salem watching my daughter Lindsay play soccer when I got sick with heat exhaustion. I don't remember too much about the last game. I made photos that I can't recall. Well, on the way home I was terrible sick on my stomach, not to mention upset with myself for letting me get this way. I rode in the back of the Montana, lying on my side looking to the back of the vehicle, once in a while looking up and out the window. I cried and cried most of the way home. I was in the pity-party mode. When we got close to Pilot-Mountain I saw that it was raining. I got my camera out and made some photos of this passing storm. I watched as the sun just kept on shining through the clouds. And remember, I was on a pity party!!! I thought of how Jesus shines through all the tough times in our lives. He never stops shining. He is "ever present" through the storms. All we need to do is call upon him, and he is there. I don't call upon him enough. I try to solve my problems by myself through worldly ways, and as my pastor said last night, all we need to do is fall down and humble ourselves before him. It is not unusal to try to solve our own problems, and serve our own purpose. I'll be the first to raise my hand and say I do that. I need to depend on God, not myself. I need to be dependent on him, and seek him for the answer. I need to let the "Son" shine in...right? Good day!!

Just "Too Tired"

Posted by Picasa

This is my nephew Adam. He plays hard. He goes and goes and goes. I tell him he is like a Timex watch, of course he don't know what that is. He is only 2 years old. He is a mess. I love him so, so much. But anyway, when you're so tired that you fall asleep standing up...then you are "Too Tired". Maybe too tired to care about laying down! He is my baby. Of course the photos I am choosing to show to everyone...is when he was "Too Tired". And that is "Tired"!!!!

This is Mount Pilot (Pilot Mountain) as it is so commonly called on "The Andy Griffith Show". Andy, more than a half dozen times, refers to Mount Pilot on his show. It is approximately 4-5 miles south of Mount Airy (Mayberry). It is a wonderful beauty, as most nature is. If ever anyone gets to take a trip to this mountain, go. It is definitely worth the trip... Just ask Andy!!!

How "Much" Can One "Love"?

Love is a strange feeling. Love is an emotion you feel, yet it is also a decision you make of allowing yourself to trust and bind yourself to someone. I sometimes don't want to love. I have been so hurt by so many people, entrusting my heart to them - only to be let down. I try and stand back for that distant run. Is that not crazy? But you see, it hurts to love sometimes. I know, believe me. I get scared to death of loving someone and then falling, trying to pick myself up. I get so disgusted with myself for allowing it to happen. I know in relationships you need love. You need love to go on in life. "Jesus" is the only real picture of true love. What a sacrifice He gave to us to show us unconditional love. I can hardly wait to see Him one day. It too is sometimes hard to fathome all that Jesus gives and gave me. I wallow in my own "Self" pity sometimes. It is a "Self" problem. I think of only "Self". I need to be more devoted to reading my Bible...more than I do. I just have that desire to be more than I am, more than probably I can be. I am not satisified until "I do"...instead of letting God be my guide. I think I have to "do"...and not let "Him" do. I guess what I am trying to say is...Love is a hard thing to do, but when you do Love...don't play games, Love like there is no tomorrow, and if you really want to know "REAL LOVE"...give your heart to Jesus and He will show you that "REAL LOVE".

"When He was on the Cross, I was on His Mind"

Jesus Posted by Hello
This is not a "real" photo of what Jesus would have looked like on the cross. This photo shows a clean, wounded Jesus. If you read the Holy Bible, it tells us of how Jesus was beaten. He was beaten so badly. He was hit over and over again. He was surely bloody and cut, and somewhat unreconizable. I am sure he was in agony, but he took that pain for us...the unworthy ones!!! Oh how unworthy we are!!! He was crucified on the cross to bear our sins. In case you are reading this and don't know, he was in such pain. I am sure that some of that pain was a pain of knowing some of us would never come to know him. Don't you know that pain was unbearable? He actually knew and knows who will receive him. He gave his life for me so that I might come to know him. Thank God I chose to trust him, serve him, and believe upon him. I could have spent eternity in Hell, but he saw fit to save me. And Hell is real!!!!!!!
Thank you Lord for giving me eternal life to spend with you......
Matthew Chapter 27: 27-31 (KJV)
27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.
28 And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.
29 And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
30 And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.
31 And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.
Mark Chapter 15: 17-20 (KJV)
17 And they clothed him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head,
18 And began to salute him, Hail, King of the Jews!
19 And they smote him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him, and bowing their knees worshipped him.
20 And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him.

"Yellow Roses"

rose Posted by Hello
Nobody knows this little Rose
By: Emily Dickinson
Nobody knows this little Rose
It might a pilgrim be
Did I not take it from the ways
And lift it up to thee.
Only a Bee will miss it
Only a Butterfly,
Hastening from far journey
On its breast to lie
Only a Bird will wonder
Only a Breeze will sigh
Ah Little Rose
How easy For such as thee to die!

The first time I saw a yellow rose (that I can remember), was when I was a teen. I remember thinking of it's beauty, of how it was so bright. At that time I didn't know God. I didn't realize God's part in making that flower. I just knew it's beauty. I don't get flowers, but that flower means something to me. That rose says friendship. It shows me God's love. It gives that special "shine" of yellow brightness. It reminds me of how we need to show more smiles.
O' God, Our Father, Thank you so much for showing us grace when we don't deserve it. Thank you for giving us all the beauty we can see from day to day. But most of all, thank you for sending your son to die for me so that I could be saved. Guide me Lord so that I can show someone who doesn't know you - YOU Lord.
Hide me behind the cross Lord, so the world sees only you!!!
Amen

"Mayberry - Mount Airy, North Carolina"

Andy and Opie Posted by Hello

The Mayberry Men Posted by Hello

Yes...I am from Mayberry - Mount Airy, North Carolina. I am doggone proud to be from Mayberry. I have lived here all my life. I don't know any place different. I love the simpleminded life. I love Mount Airy. I can't think of a better place to call "Home". Home is where your heart is ...and mine is here in Mayberry. Sometimes I feel like Sheriff Andy Taylor is here. When you see some of the things going on one can't help but think of him. And the "Barney's" (MAYBERRY DEPUTY), there is a few of them here too. With the occasion of minor crimes, Ol' Ernest T. Bass still throws a rock or two. Aunt Bea could be cooking a good ol' apple pie. The Mayberry Hillbillies (The Darlings) still play tunes downtown every now and then. "Floyd's Barbershop" is open daily for haircuts. You can go next door, after the haircut, for a Porkchop Sandwich at "Snappy Lunch". Here is a little history... Andy Griffith was born and grew up here in Mount Airy. Mount Airy is at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains which is approximately a 15-mile drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Pilot Mountain (Mt. Pilot) is approximately 8- miles away. We still have a drive-in movie screen running here known as "The Bright Leaf Drive-In". Makes you want to sit back and take in a big smell of the fresh air, have a laugh or two, and enjoy. Mayberry takes you back to the simple times in life, where people speak even if they don't know you.
Such a simple life!!!

"Web We Weave"

web Posted by Hello

I cannot count the countless times my husband has said to me, "Oh the tangled webs we weave, when first we practice to deceive!" And I have pondered on that saying from time to time. You know, we don't have to tangle a web we have woven. If we deceive someone - then yes we are going to tangle that web of deceit. We can weave the web of love and friendship. The bible says: "Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe unto him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up." -- Ecclesiastes 4:9-10. I don't know about anyone else, but it is wonderful when you have a friend, and especially a christian friend - someone whom you can talk to and count on to pray for you when you need it. You need that friend you can have liberty with also. Here is a quote that I like - "There can be no Friendship where there is no Freedom." -- William Penn. How can you have friendship without liberty? In friendship there are open doors and giving. It is a friend that can tell you when your face is dirty, or when you might need that "extra" perfume. You can share with him/her of your and their faults, and be accepted. Hearts matter in friendship. Only can you share ones heart by giving of yours. When weaving those webs, weave the web of true love and true friendship.

"Peace During A Storm"

 Posted by Hello
It is amazing how God shows us peace in nature. I didn't really think about this situation with this baby bird until later on. This baby robin fell out of his nest and our cat, Courage, decided he was gonna have it for a snack. But the parents, plus other robins came in and did a swoop down on our cat. It didn't scare him, but I was upset for that baby. He was breathing hard and scared. We got a box and put the baby robin in it. He hopped on the side as seen in the photo. He seemed at peace with his decision. I thougt about how God gives us peace during trying times. I know he is there during the storms, even when we don't think so...and gives us the courage for hope. Our parents and friends may come to the rescue, but it is God who gives us everlasting peace. We need to seek God for peace during our storms. Thank you to my Pastor and Kevin for reminding me. "Self"

2 Timothy 3
1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

If there is one thing I can't stand...it is "Self". Here I am writing about a subject I know all about. At one time, it was all about "ME". I was a lover of self. When you are a lover of self, all the things in 2 Timothy Chapter 3; verses 1-4 will apply to you. I have heard people say "well all I really want is...", and it is hard to break away from that. That is self talking. I was a coveter. I was very boastful. I was proud. I blashemed. I was disrespectful to my parents. I was unthankful. I was definitely unholy. I am all about those verses. I had such hate in my being. I hated people. I only let those chosen few inside with me. I was a lover of pleasure. I loved it more than God. I wanted what I wanted. If I wanted something...I made sure I got it. I was not brought up this way. I got this way over time...due to sinning. I was happy when you were not happy. I can say only due to God's love and God's grace that I am saved, and not taking pleasure in the hurts of others. I love more than I could ever love before. I find myself loving people that I thought I could never love. That is God...that is his way. He wants us to be a worker for him. I know I am not perfect by any means, but I am a child of God. I desire to please him. He is my Lord.
