"Seeing The Beauty Within"

My friend Julie (in Nova Scotia,Canada) recently sent me photos of her flower garden below.I thought about how God sees us. He don't look for outside beauty. He looks for the beauty in our heart, what is inside. I try and do what is God's will, be a loving, caring person...trying to reach out to others in love and understanding. I want to be a good witness, and at times that is hard. I am human.
I make mistakes. I don't like to make mistakes,
but I do. I am learning that when God is speaking, I need to be hearing.
I need to keep my mouth shut, and just let God speak to me, not me speak. In Proverbs Chapter 15, Verse 3 says "The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good. So, God knows my heart. He knows me. And I know him too!!! Thanks for sharing your pictures with me Julie...Love ya!!!

"She's A Grand Ol' Flag"

When I see my American flag flying high in the wind, or just standing tall in the sky...I feel pride that bullets cannot penetrate. All the people who have given their life for me, just like Jesus! Gave their life so I can have the freedom of choosing Jesus, what to wear, what to do, what to eat, where to go. I can't imagine what our ol' USA would be like without that freedom that we take for granted. I see what is going on in this world with Israel being made out to be the "bad" country in the news. If anyone missed our Sunday School class today....they missed a great history lesson. Pastor Larry preached on how it is spelled out in the Holy Bible about what is going on in the world right now. I enjoyed it so. I could have listened all day. Today I pondered on the things he taught us, and when I did, all was peace. I can clearly see that God has all under control. And I don't have to worry about a thing... God has it all in his hands...Give it to him!!!

"Welcome"

"Welcome"-- Do you know what that word means? Have you ever just said "Welcome" without even thinking about it's meaning? I had never ever, until my husband asked me (underlying reason) did I know what it meant. So according to the dictionary, here is that meaning: Welcome; transitive verb; 1: to greet hospitably and with courtesy or cordiality 2: to accept with pleasure the occurrence or presence of. Interesting! My husband always has a reason behind something he is trying to teach me. It's been about 1 month since he asked me this....And I am pondering about it now...Amazing! A person can tell when someone welcomes them, can't you?? You know, God knows my heart...Like he knows yours. He can tell if you are sincere or not. Nothing is hidden from God. He knows all, sees all. I have never thought about this before. God is opening my eyes on lots of things. I am beginning to think about the way I say things, or the actions I take. The lesson for me is pretty simple. Be careful what you do or say, if you mean it or not, for God is listening and watching...And he knows your motives.

A Special Person

Gay Phillips is a very special person to me. Not only is she my pastor's wife, but she is my friend. I don't know of anyone that she doesn't care about. She makes it a point to make you feel welcome at church, or anywhere she is. I don't think people realize just how much she cares about them. She, in her way, is kind-of shy. But caring about others is what she does most. She cares about her own family as well as caring about her extended family ~ her church family. One time when I was going through a tough time in my life, I did something I was deeply ashamed of, embarassed myself, and Gay was the first person who made sure I didn't stay out of church just because of it, even though it involved her. She made sure I knew God loved me even though I had done wrong...judge me you might ask?? Absolute not....she didn't tell me I was wrong....God did. She doesn't sit in judgement of others. She loved me like Christ does. How blessed we are to have such a special person in our life ~ Even when we don't know it!
Thank you God ~ For Gay!!!

~Fun Times - Yankees Baseball ~

Baseball used to have a special place in my heart...about 12 years ago. My son played baseball and was eager to start playing by spring. He could hardly wait until he was out on that field, or behind the plate to be the catcher. Now he loved the game. My son played for the White Plains Braves, and his daddy was coach along with Wayne Haymore. What fun!!! This year my daughter took up an interest in Jonah Easter, and we got the chance to enjoy baseball again, plus watch a great player. He played short-stop for the Yankees. What a player!!!
He is a great short-stop, but I believe he could play anywhere.
He is that good!!! Not only that, what a great guy. I don't think I
have ever met a more sweet young man. He always made us feel welcome,
as did his family.
Thanks Jonah ~ Hope we get to see more of you in the future!

"Cousins"

What a photo!!! This is one of "cousins". They love to be around each other...why? Because they love each other. They enjoy having time together and this is one of those moments. It is a "Kodak Moment". Can't you just tell they are enjoying this photo? I have one that I will share of them when they were last up on the Blue Ridge Parkway at Cumberland Knob in this same spot. It is a good photo.....my family!!! I love you guys!!! We sure do have lots of fun.....

Show "your Daddy" some Love!!!

When it comes to love, Lindsay & Kasey love their Daddy! They are always on top of him with a hug or kiss. And especially Lindsay, she makes sure her Daddy knows he is appreciated and loved....but then again, so does Kasey. He is forever hugging him and telling him he loves him. And what a wonderful photo to remember our Father's Day breakfast on Cumberland Knob on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

"Adam & His Pa"

This is our father's day breakfast up on Cumberland Knob. We used to go there when we were kids and eat breakfast/lunch. We would have eggs, french toast, bacon, sausage, ham, and gravy. Yum-Yum!!! It was our favorite time up on the Blue Ridge Parkway with our Daddy and Momma. I love thinking about those times. Now to this photo...it is Granpa time!!! Adam, my sweet nephew, loves his Pa as you can see in this photo. He just wants to be in any photo with his Pa. Is this not adorable? Yes it is and he is too!!!

Where Are You Lord?

Do you ever find yourself thinking "Where Are You Lord?" ? I ask that question lots. I wonder just where is he? Is he listening? I am going through storms left and right. I am looking for you Lord. I need you now Lord. I need you every day. These storms of every day are tough and I need you. I love it when he shows up just when you don't expect it, but here lately it seems like he is making me hold out. I am very impatient and don't want to wait. But hey...that's me. I am not the patient kind of girl. To anyone who reads this...please keep me in your prayers....I need it. Thank you!!!

"It takes more than 2 to stop Kelsey....PERIOD"

It takes more than 2 to stop this girl Kelsey. She is a "spit-fire". She is very fast....too fast. When I am taking photos, it is hard to get a good one of her. She is just moving so fast. She is small, but she stands tall and tough. You can't take in enough of her. When snapping photos of her, you have to have your focus down at the goal and ready to snap on spot. Kelsey holds that special place in our hearts. Love you girl..... Posted by Picasa

By Golly...Miss Molly....Our Kayla

When it comes to fun...this girl has it all packed in ONE package. Kayla is one of a kind. I don't think I know anyone who is more fun and just so caring. She has it all. She is precious too. She was recently in a play "Annie". I enjoyed it so much. She was great in it too. She had a big part for someone who was the orphan Molly. She actually started out the show. I enjoyed this school play, but I enjoy you Kayla...you are special!!!
