"Web We Weave"

web Posted by Hello

I cannot count the countless times my husband has said to me, "Oh the tangled webs we weave, when first we practice to deceive!" And I have pondered on that saying from time to time. You know, we don't have to tangle a web we have woven. If we deceive someone - then yes we are going to tangle that web of deceit. We can weave the web of love and friendship. The bible says: "Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe unto him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up." -- Ecclesiastes 4:9-10. I don't know about anyone else, but it is wonderful when you have a friend, and especially a christian friend - someone whom you can talk to and count on to pray for you when you need it. You need that friend you can have liberty with also. Here is a quote that I like - "There can be no Friendship where there is no Freedom." -- William Penn. How can you have friendship without liberty? In friendship there are open doors and giving. It is a friend that can tell you when your face is dirty, or when you might need that "extra" perfume. You can share with him/her of your and their faults, and be accepted. Hearts matter in friendship. Only can you share ones heart by giving of yours. When weaving those webs, weave the web of true love and true friendship.

I can relate so well. What a good post. I have heard my hubby say the same thing numerous times as well!

Isn't it wonderful if that friend is your husband as well?:-)

God's Grace.

Amen. What a great photo. That really sets the tone for your post. I also heard someone say (I forget who!) how the beauty of a web can entice at first and then capture the insect if it gets too close. To one it is a trap and to the other it is a source of sustenance.

Karen, I loved your thoughts about weaving a web of friendship. Genuine, lasting friendships include total acceptance. What a treasure!

Your spider web photo is great! Thought you might enjoy a post from my blog way back in February, about spiders and their webs. They're fascinating!
